New wiring, considered routes
A room-by-room wiring plan coordinated with the builder, the furniture layout and the original features worth keeping.

Project overview
Renovation rewire,
thought through.
Plan new circuits while protecting the features the homeowner wants to keep.
Access, cable routes and making good are agreed before the work starts. The programme identifies when rooms and power will be unavailable.
Illustrative case study. People, location, cost and timing are demonstration details.

Our process
Four steps through the project.
- 01
Walk every room
Record the new uses and the original features that need protecting.
- 02
Agree one drawing
Confirm positions, routes and responsibilities with the other trades.
- 03
Work in sequence
Complete first fix, then return when the rooms are ready for final fittings.
- 04
Test and document
Check the installation and explain the completed circuit schedule.

The problem
What needed to change
The renovation involved new room uses, retained plaster details and several trades sharing limited access. Socket locations were being discussed separately from the furniture, creating a risk of changes after the walls had been finished.

The solution
How the pieces came together
A room-by-room drawing brought the furniture layout, socket positions and cable routes together. First fix was coordinated with the builder, and responsibilities for patching and decoration were recorded. Final fix followed the finishes, with testing and a circuit schedule at handover.
The handover brings together the circuit schedule, test records and an explanation of the installation for the homeowner.
